Tam

REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNOLOGIST

Raised in Calgary, Tam, a fear-free certified RVT, started working part time as a receptionist at the Westhills Veterinary Clinic in 2001. During that time, she also graduated with a BSc (Chemistry) and BEd from the University of Calgary. After spending time as a High School Science teacher, she realized her passion was in veterinary medicine. She returned to school (Olds College) and obtained her Animal Health Diploma (with distinction) in 2010. Although she enjoys all aspects of her job, her special interest is behaviour.

Her favourite things about the clinic are the interesting cases seen daily, the great relationships developed with patients and the fun team she gets to work with.

A fun fact about Tam is that she’s an avid scuba diver with her Dive-master certification. She’s dove the Great Barrier Reef, Red Sea, Caribbean and Mexico. She even participated in a shark feeding! She loves adventure and has skydived and backpacked through Europe.

When not at work, Tam enjoys camping with her family, and competing in flyball with her dogs.
