Kaela

TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT

Kaela, our highschool student at Ernest Manning High School is an aspiring Veterinarian who started as a volunteer at the clinic in spring of 2022. She has always had a passion for science and has always believed in the importance of advocating for animals big and small. Kaela has plans of attending the University of Calgary to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree before proceeding on into the world of Veterinary Medicine.

Her favorite things about being a part of the Westhills team is her ability to assist in nurturing the animals back to health and the relationships built along the way. When Kaela is not at the clinic or working hard in her studies at school, she enjoys spending time actively, with family and friends, as well as picking up different artistic projects of her own. Music and sports have always been a part of her life growing up. She played the violin and was in orchestra, and the flute in her school band. She has played a variety of sports, but her favorites were always basketball and lacrosse.

In the future, Kaela wishes to become more knowledgeable about the world of Veterinary Medicine and be able to understand what is going on inside furry friends such as her two dogs Harley and Gus. One of the things Kaela would like to check off of her bucket list along her journey to becoming a DVM is to see the Northern Lights.
